Seoyon E-HWA, a leading manufacturer of automotive interior parts, is looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Production Control Specialist to join our team. This role will be responsible for managing the movement and control of materials and inventory across the production process. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in materials management, experience using SAP and Excel for inventory tracking, and a keen eye for accuracy to ensure seamless production flow.

This role requires a proactive problem-solver who can work efficiently and collaborate with various teams to maintain optimal inventory levels and material flow.

Job Summary:

The Production Control Specialist will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and timely production of auto interior parts, overseeing the injection molding, molding, and assembly processes. The ideal candidate will work closely with various departments to establish production plans, monitor production schedules, and maintain optimal workflow. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and experience in production control within the automotive parts manufacturing sector.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain an efficient injection production plan to meet customer demands, production capacity, and material availability.
  • Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to ensure production schedules align with customer specifications and deadlines.
  • Analyze production performance and implement corrective actions to optimize the injection molding process.
  • Create detailed molding and assembly production plans in line with company objectives and customer requirements.
  • Coordinate the scheduling of molding and assembly activities, considering lead times, labor resources, and machine availability.
  • Monitor the execution of production plans, ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality products.
  • Develop, update, and manage detailed production schedules for both short-term and long-term production needs.
  • Coordinate with the procurement and supply chain teams to ensure material availability and avoid production delays.
  • Track and report on production progress, identify potential delays, and implement solutions to stay on schedule.
  • Ensure proper inventory levels of raw materials, components, and finished goods to meet production requirements.
  • Work with the inventory control team to minimize excess stock while avoiding shortages that could halt production.
  • Monitor production processes and identify opportunities for process improvements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma practices to increase production efficiency.
  • Lead or participate in initiatives aimed at reducing waste, downtime, and cost.
  • Coordinate with the quality control team to ensure products meet quality standards at each stage of production.
  • Address quality concerns promptly and implement corrective actions as necessary.
  • Provide regular updates on production status, potential delays, and any issues that may impact production schedules to management.
  • Facilitate communication between production, engineering, and logistics teams to ensure smooth operations.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and safety regulations in all production activities.
  • Contribute to a safe working environment by supporting health and safety initiatives.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
  • Proven experience (3+ years) in production control or manufacturing planning, ideally within the automotive or similar industry.
  • Strong knowledge of injection molding, molding, and assembly production processes.
  • Familiarity with production planning software (e.g., ERP, MRP).
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Understanding of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies is a plus..
