Position Summary

The Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Technician supports the implementation and maintenance of Environmental, Health, and Safety programs in a high-volume manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in solar panels, photovoltaic (PV), semiconductor, or other cleanroom manufacturing facilities and possess a strong understanding of hazardous chemicals, safety regulations, and environmental compliance. This role assists in creating a safe work environment by conducting inspections, investigating incidents, maintaining records, delivering training, and promoting a strong safety culture throughout the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support daily EHS operations and ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and local environmental regulations.
  • Monitor hazardous chemical storage, handling, transportation, and disposal, including acids, solvents, gases, and specialty chemicals used in solar panel manufacturing.
  • Perform air quality, noise, wastewater, and environmental monitoring activities.
  • Maintain Safety Data Sheets (SDS), chemical inventories, and regulatory documentation.
  • Coordinate hazardous waste management activities in accordance with environmental regulations.
  • Assist in implementing and maintaining safety management system, EHS programs and procedures.
  • Collaborate with facility, operations and maintenance teams to drive continuous improvement.
  • Assist in ergonomic evaluation, conduct routine workplace safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
  • Participate in incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive action implementation.
  • Support emergency response activities, spill response, and evacuation drills.
  • Coordinate and deliver employee safety orientations and ongoing training programs.
  • Maintain safety records, inspection reports, training documentation, and compliance files.
  • Support emergency preparedness activities, including evacuation drills and emergency response planning.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • Associate's or Bachelor degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, Process Engineering or a related field.
