Psychiatric Registered Nurse (RN) – Nights | Travel Nurse – Jeffersonville, IN

• Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license (Compact license accepted)
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Psychiatric RN or in a behavioral health/mental health nursing setting
• Experience with both pediatric and adult psychiatric patients preferred (children and adults)
• Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification preferred — facility can assist with training if needed
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• Strong assessment, documentation, and therapeutic communication skills for inpatient psychiatric care

• Provide compassionate, evidence-based psychiatric nursing care to patients in an inpatient behavioral health unit
• Perform ongoing assessment, monitoring, and documentation of patient status and response to treatment
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (psychiatrists, social workers, therapists) to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Deliver crisis intervention, de-escalation, and patient/family education when appropriate
• Maintain a safe, therapeutic environment and follow facility safety protocols and behavioral management plans
• Participate in unit-based training, professional development, and quality improvement initiatives
