As a Bilingual Nurse Advocate, you are responsible for contact with program patients and assessing barriers to successful initiation and completion of therapy. The Nurse Advocate will be an active resource from enrollment through treatment, facilitating a timely and successful patient experience.
Key Responsibilities- Serve as a consistent resource throughout program services, identifying barriers to therapy and facilitating patient navigation.
- Serve as an educator, possessing knowledge of clinical treatments and the emotional and financial implications of a new diagnosis.
- Primary goals:
- Enable patients by providing information and education about:
- Prescribed therapy and course of treatment, balanced with benefits and side‑effects.
- Proper administration and dosing.
- Insurance coverage, anticipated out‑of‑pocket costs, and financial assistance resources.
- Stress‑management support.
- Empower patients to participate in their care by triaging to non‑program support programs.
- Report adverse events/product complaints per SOP and good manufacturer practices.
- Apply Valeris values to drive team success.
- Adhere to training deadlines and corporate policies.
- Ensure SOPs are followed consistently.
- Perform additional tasks or projects as assigned.
- Enable patients by providing information and education about:
- Registered Nurse licensed in Indiana or Kentucky.
- 2–3 years of nursing experience; disease‑state experience preferred.
- Fluent in English and Spanish.
- Experience with Nurseline triage, Call Center Utilization Management, or Call Center Case Management preferred.
- Case management or Clinical Trial Nurse experience preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Regularly required to talk or hear; frequent sitting for long periods; use of hands to type, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms.
- Type at least 35 words per minute with 97% accuracy.
- Minimum flexibility to travel as needed.
- Work in a professional office environment using standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers.
