Step into a day as our Electrical Quality Assurance Inspector You arrive at 6:00 AM, coffee in hand, and power up a climate-controlled workspace. Your first task is to verify that calipers, micrometers, and gauges are calibrated and ready. Before the bustle begins, you review engineering drawings and specs for the day’s builds. By mid-morning you’re inspecting electrical and electro-mechanical parts, checking surface finish and appearance, measuring critical dimensions, and running functional tests with meters and test software.

When something’s off, you dive into root cause, collaborate with engineers and production teammates, and recommend corrective actions. In the afternoon you audit processes to ensure procedures are documented and followed, compile weekly and monthly quality reports, and capture trends on workmanship so the team can keep improving. You wrap up by maintaining test fixtures and equipment, and logging any drawing improvement requests.

What you’ll tackle

Perform product inspections and functional tests on electrical/electronic and mechanical components.

Examine parts for defects, finish, and overall workmanship; verify dimensions using precision tools.

Read and apply technical drawings, specifications, and related documentation.

Identify defects and drive corrective actions; provide feedback on quality, operational, and design issues.

Partner with engineers and manufacturing to resolve quality concerns and improve outcomes.

Audit processes to confirm quality procedures are established, documented, and followed; validate effectiveness.

Report quality/test results; track, analyze, and highlight trends in workmanship issues with weekly/monthly summaries.

Investigate issues reported from outside manufacturing and follow through to resolution.

Recommend drawing and documentation improvements.

Calibrate, test, and maintain production and test-related equipment.

What you bring1+ year testing mechanical and electronic components.

Working knowledge of electrical systems and test methods; proficient with gauges and OHM meters.

Baseline troubleshooting skills across AC/DC, analog, and digital components.

Hands-on experience assembling, soldering, wiring, and repairing components/sub-assemblies (highly preferred).Ability to interpret drawings, follow workflows, use fundamental math, and operate test software, fixtures, gauges, and measuring tools per specs.

Strong problem-solving with clear written and verbal communication in English.

Capable of evaluating, analyzing, testing, and troubleshooting production issues, correcting quality problems promptly.

Collaborative teammate with above-average interpersonal skills; comfortable fielding quality-related questions.

Highly organized, able to juggle multiple priorities and adapt to change.

Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail.

Bonus: experience with software configuration tasks (e.g., setting IP addresses, downloading to PLCs).Reliability: ready to start at 6:00 AM each day.

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent required;
Associate degree in electronics, mechanical, or similar preferred.
