Job Description

As a Security Officer - Entry Screener in Jeffersonville, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Security Officer Screener with Allied Universal at a leading tech and telecom location, you will welcome employees and visitors, verify credentials, support entry screening and package checks, and monitor assigned areas for security-related concerns.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by following site-specific procedures for entry screening, identification checks, and access authorization at a technology location.
  • Screen individuals and items entering the facility using approved methods and equipment, and/or verify badges and visitor credentials prior to granting access.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including escalating concerns to site leadership and/or emergency services as directed by post orders.
  • Monitor entrances, lobbies, and designated screening areas for suspicious activity, potential policy violations, and/or prohibited items, and complete required notifications and documentation.
  • Document screening results, incidents, and service requests in daily activity reports and electronic logs, and communicate relevant updates during shift turnovers.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
