Job Description/Responsibilities
Shift: Monday-Friday
Hours:
4pm-12:30am
Location:
Onsite - Jeffersonville
The Assistant Distribution Manager will be responsible for overseeing distribution operations according to standards set by federal, state and local agencies and company policy. You will be verifying all inbound and outbound shipments, managing distribution warehouse logistics and inventory, directing daily work. This role will also submit all invoices to be processed, print BOL and manifest for deliveries; communicate with wholesalers and customers to ensure all outbound shipments are processed in a timely manner.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead and develop team members by providing coaching, performance feedback, and training that supports a high‑performing, engaged team. Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, reduce costs, and optimize productivity through data analysis and process improvements. Develop and implement corrective action plans to drive measurable performance results.
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives by creating, implementing, and maintaining standard operating procedures that enhance consistency and operational excellence. Evaluate key performance metrics to identify trends and improve overall distribution center performance.
- Drive Warehouse Management System (WMS) adoption by supporting training, system enhancements, and process optimization. Monitor operational metrics to improve shipping accuracy, reduce product damage, and strengthen inventory control.
- Promote a safe and compliant work environment by leading safety initiatives, reinforcing OSHA, food safety, quality, and environmental standards, and implementing preventive measures to reduce workplace incidents.
- Bachelors Degree
- 3‑10 years relevant experience
- Ability to communicate with all levels of an org
- Experience in a fast paced environment, strong analytical and technical skills, working knowledge of MS Office Products (Word, Excel and Outlook)
Preferred
- Strong planning and organizational skills
- Experience in Alcohol Beverage Industry or CPG overall
- Ability to operate Industrial equipment as required
- Ability to pick up and/or move objects up to 50 pounds without assistance, and work near moving mechanical parts
- Noise level at work station is loud (metal can manufacturing, large earth moving equipment)
