Material Handler, Forklift Operator
Position
Taylor Corporation is seeking a Kitting Team Lead in Jeffersonville, IN to manage and coordinate the shipping team. The role involves leading a group of associates and ensuring accurate product handling and shipping operations.
Work Authorization:
Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
1st Shift;
Monday – Friday, 7:00am – 3:30pm with overtime as needed.
- Lead and coordinate a team of employees in shipping, handling, receiving, storing, counting, packaging, and distributing equipment, materials, and merchandise.
- Operate machinery and assist with physical inventory counts.
- Maintain a compliant and safe work area, following all safety regulations.
- Load and unload trucks, conveyors, and other transporting equipment by hand or with materials‑handling devices.
- Transport equipment, supplies, and products between locations using motor vehicles, hand trucks, tote boxes, and other equipment.
- Count, weigh, identify, and record items; ensure proper storage, marking, or tagging.
- Fill orders or requisitions, keep detailed records of items issued and received.
- Verify materials against vendor invoices, bills of lading, customer orders, and similar documents.
- Record discrepancies in quantities and weights, noting time, date, source, and destination of materials.
- Wrap, pack, and load products into boxes, cartons, and other containers for shipment.
- Operate labeling, weighing, and sealing machines as required.
- Minimum three years of warehouse experience.
- Ability to work overtime as required by workload.
- Strong leadership and team‑directing skills.
- Proficiency in operating a forklift and using a computer system to track inventory.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong math skills (addition, subtraction, fractions, decimals).
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks and follow safety procedures.
- Physical capability to sit, walk, stoop, kneel, squat, reach, drive, and lift up to 25pounds.
- Effective written and verbal communication in English.
- Capacity to remain in a stationary position while operating machinery and handling products.
• Hourly wage: $19.00 (actual base may vary based on qualifications and location).
