About The Learning Experience

The Learning Experience - Jenison is seeking a caring, reliable, and enthusiastic Assistant Teacher to join our early childhood education team. Our center offers a warm, supportive environment where children learn through play, exploration, and hands-on discovery.

Responsibilities

* Support the Lead Teacher in creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment.

* Assist with implementing the L.E.A.P. Curriculum, engaging children in play-based learning and daily routines.

* Help guide classroom activities including circle time, sensory play, early literacy, art, and outdoor exploration.

* Build positive relationships with children and families through daily communication and a friendly, professional presence.

* Assist with meal times, diapering or toileting, classroom organization, and maintaining safety and cleanliness.

* Work collaboratively with center leadership to uphold licensing standards and classroom quality.

Qualifications

* High school diploma or GED required.

* Experience working with children in a daycare, preschool, or childcare program preferred.

* CDA or Early Childhood Education coursework is a plus.

* Understanding of developmentally appropriate practices (DAP).

* CPR and First Aid certification preferred (training available).

* Must meet all Michigan childcare licensing requirements.

* Dependable, team-oriented, and passionate about early learning.
