Salary Range: $57,000 - $91,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across Jenison seeking CNC Mill Programmers who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and implement CNC programs for 3-axis and 5-axis mills.
• Select appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and machine parameters.
• Optimize programs for efficiency, cycle time, and surface finish.
• Perform first-article inspections and troubleshoot machining issues.
• Collaborate with engineers and machinists to refine designs and processes.
• Maintain and update CNC program libraries and documentation.
• Implement quality control measures to ensure part accuracy and adherence to specifications.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proficient in CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360, Gibbs
  
  CAM) for generating G-code.
• Strong understanding of G-code and M-code for CNC milling operations.
• Ability to interpret engineering blueprints, CAD models, and GD&T specifications.
• Experience with various tooling, fixturing, and work holding methods for CNC mills.
• Knowledge of different materials and their machining characteristics.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with 5-axis programming.
• Familiarity with a variety of CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360, Solid
  
  CAM).
• Ability to perform minor machine maintenance or troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of G-code and M-code editing at the machine control.
• Experience with CMM inspection or quality control processes.
