  • Work with HMIs and operator screens to monitor equipment status, perform basic adjustments, and conduct minor PLC troubleshooting as needed.
  • Carry out pneumatic system repairs, including identifying faults, replacing components, and ensuring reliable operation of pneumatic circuits and devices.
  • Conduct routine preventive maintenance on automated equipment to reduce downtime, extend equipment life, and improve reliability.
  • Perform mechanical repairs in dustier plant areas when required, focusing on gears, conveyors, motors, and other mechanical systems.
  • Support typical automated equipment repairs and adjustments, ensuring that machines run safely and within specified parameters.
  • Use a computer to complete work orders, record maintenance activities, update equipment histories, and communicate status to the team.
  • Collaborate closely with the maintenance team and production staff to identify root causes of equipment issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Follow established safety procedures and plant guidelines while working on equipment, including lockout/tagout and other safety practices.
  • Participate in first-shift training for one to two months to learn equipment, processes, and plant standards before transitioning to 3rd shift.
  • Respond to maintenance calls during the shift, prioritize tasks based on production needs, and ensure timely completion of repairs.
  • Inspect equipment regularly to identify potential problems and recommend improvements or corrective actions.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts by suggesting modifications or enhancements to equipment or maintenance practices.
Essential Skills
  • At least 3 years of maintenance machine repair experience on industrial equipment.
  • Proven experience repairing and maintaining automated machinery in a manufacturing environment.
  • Hands-on pneumatic repair experience, including troubleshooting and repairing pneumatic systems.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with experience working on gears, conveyors, motors, chains, sprockets, and other mechanical components.
  • Basic electrical knowledge sufficient to support mechanical maintenance activities and minor troubleshooting.
  • Ability to perform minor PLC-related troubleshooting and interact with HMIs and control screens.

  • Ability to use a computer to complete work orders, document maintenance activities, and update records.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Ability to work independently on 3rd shift while collaborating effectively with a close-knit maintenance team.
  • Willingness and ability to train on 1st shift for one to two months before moving to 3rd shift.
