Salary Range: $54,000 - $81,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive first article inspections (FAI) according to AS9102 standards.
• Interpret complex engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to ensure product conformity.
• Utilize a wide range of precision measuring tools and equipment, including CMM, calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Document inspection results accurately and thoroughly, identifying and reporting any non-conformances.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to resolve discrepancies and improve product quality.
• Maintain detailed records of all inspection activities and ensure traceability of parts and documentation.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to inspection processes and quality control.

Recommended Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred.
• Minimum 3 years experience in quality inspection within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications (GD&T).
• Demonstrated ability to use a wide range of precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, CMM).
• Strong understanding of First Article Inspection (FAI) processes and AS9102/PPAP requirements.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify non-conformances accurately.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with CMM or other automated inspection equipment.
• ASQ certifications (e.g., CQI, CQA).
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting GD&T.
• Ability to perform basic statistical analysis on inspection data.
