Financial Analyst

Overview

Responsible for performing a variety of accounting assignments under general direction from supervisor. Plan and conduct work requiring judgment in the independent evaluation, selection, and adaptation or modification of standard accounting techniques, procedures and practices. Devise new approaches to most problems, seeking technical guidance on unusually complex problems. Coordinate accounting activities for assigned projects and provide limited supervision to lower level accounting personnel.

• Prepare monthly journal entries and account analyses as part of the closing process
• Assist Operations with Manufacturing Targets/Variances (Daily Flex)
• Support weekly financial package with various statistical data
• Support periodic budgeting process
• Support SOX reporting and testing process
• Support/Verify Fixed Asset Purchases
• Coordinate audit requests with internal and external audit groups

• Proven analytical, problem solving, and process improvement ability
• Experience with ERP systems for general accounting and consolidation purposes preferred
• Strong analytical, interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
• Ability to successfully manage many issues/projects simultaneously
• Previous public accounting experience with manufacturing clients is a plus

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required
