Position OverviewWe are seeking an organized, professional, and friendly Front Desk Administrative Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in managing daily administrative tasks, facilitating patient interactions, scheduling appointments, and ensuring efficient office operations.
Key Responsibilities- Welcome patients and visitors, providing outstanding customer service.
- Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments using our practice management software.
- Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits; manage patient intake paperwork and documentation.
- Answer incoming calls, responding to patient inquiries professionally and efficiently.
- Process payments, manage billing information, and provide receipts as required.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere strictly to HIPAA guidelines.
- Coordinate communications between patients, providers, and external healthcare professionals.
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the front desk area and waiting room.
- Support administrative tasks including filing, scanning, faxing, and maintaining electronic health records.
- Prior experience in medical reception, ideally in dermatology or other specialty medical office.
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) and practice management software preferred (experience with AdvancedMD a plus).
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in basic computer software.
- Ability to multitask and handle fast‑paced office environments calmly and professionally.
