The Medical Mission Sisters (MMS) are an international Catholic religious congregation. Founded over 100 years ago as pioneering medical professionals, our mission is to be a healing presence. We are seeking a compassionate, skilled Healthcare Manager (HCM) to join our tight-knit team and oversee the health and wellness of our aging sisters.
Position SummaryThe Healthcare Manager directs wellness services for sisters in residential care and provides supportive oversight for independent sisters. This role combines clinical advocacy, hands-on personal engagement, and administrative leadership.
Key Responsibilities- Clinical & Advocacy: Coordinate admissions, evaluate evolving medical needs, monitor hospitalizations/rehab stays, and act as a Health Care Agent when designated.
- Direct Care & Support: Visit sisters in residential facilities regularly, accompany them to medical appointments, and physically assist them when needed (e.g., navigating uneven pathways).
- Team Leadership: Supervise the care team, create monthly staff schedules, manage on-call rotations, and conduct annual performance evaluations.
- Communication: Maintain close contact with the sisters' families, residential facility staff, and the MMS leadership team. Document medical updates using Microsoft Teams.
- Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM (with flexibility).
- On-Call: Every other week, including weekends.
- Salary: Please provide your anticipated salary requirements with your application.
- Active Pennsylvania Nursing License (RN or LPN).
- Experience in geriatric care.
- Strong team collaboration, organizational, and crisis-management skills.
- Physical ability to walk extensively, lift/push up to 30 lbs, and physically support sisters while walking.
