Position: NURSING ASSISTANT SUPERVISOR 2/FT

The primary objective of the home is to provide quality nursing care to eligible veterans, with the ultimate goal of returning them to the highest possible levels of physical and mental capacity.

Minimum Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Four years of experience in patient care; OR Possession of a current Certified Nursing Assistant certificate or graduation from an Emergency Medical Technician Program plus two years of experience in patient care; OR Completion of an accredited registered or practical nursing program plus one year of experience in patient care.

NOTE:

Positions at facilities receiving certain Medicaid or Medicare funds require that applicants possess a current Certified Nursing Assistant certificate.

Job Duties and Other Information

Job Duties:

  • Supervise, review, and evaluate subordinates' performance and conducts performance evaluations on subordinate staff.
  • Make rounds of inspection, reviews records and monitors the environment to ensure resident safety and that residents are receiving adequate nursing care in sanitary conditions.
  • Prepare, review, and evaluate staffing schedules, resident assignments and other duty assignments, making adjustments when necessary.
  • Orient and assist in facility required training programs for subordinates.
  • Perform duties of lower level CNA Supervisor and CNA as necessary

Compensation: This position is paid an hourly wage.
