Registered Nurse – Acute Medsurgical (PRN)

In this role you will provide patient‐centered care using the nursing process and the Nurse Practice Act, ANA Code for Nurses and Scope & Standards of Practice. You will delegate, direct, and assist licensed and ancillary team members, and help the interdisciplinary team achieve unit and departmental goals. The position is PRN and Primary Medicine. It is a short‐term, part‑time position that may be scheduled to cover evenings, nights, or weekends.

• Effectively uses the nursing process in the delivery of patient care.
• Assesses learning needs and implements teaching strategies appropriate for the diverse needs of patient, family, and other groups or disciplines.
• Communicates, delegates, and manages nursing team resources (human and fiscal) and serves as a leader and partner on the interdisciplinary team.
• Uses data, information, and knowledge to evaluate and promote change in order to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Embraces concepts and behaviors that enhance customer satisfaction and employee morale and improvement in the profession of nursing.
• Adapts behavior to the specific patient population, including respect for privacy, method of introduction to the patient, and adapting the explanation of services or procedures to be performed.
• Performs other related duties as required.

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current registered nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Preferred:
  Certification in a clinical specialty area.

• Proficiency in using computers, software, and web‑based applications.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present information clearly and professionally to varying levels of individuals throughout the patient care process.
• Excellent organizational and time‑management skills.

• Sign‑on bonus: $10,000 for full‑time external candidates.
• Salary for this role: $75,620 to $113,430 annually based on full‑time employment.

This is an on‑site position located in Jennings, LA (ZIP 70526). Remote work is not available for residents of Colorado, California, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Vermont, Washington, and Washington D.C.
