Registered Nurse – Operating Room

Jennings, LA | Acute Care

Contract | Days (5x8 Hours, 6:00–14:30) | Onsite

• Serve as OR circulator responsible for OR surgery, C-sections, PACU, and endoscopy in a small rural hospital setting
• Float to other departments as needed when census is low
• Fulfill on-call requirements of one day per week and every 4th to 5th weekend, with the ability to arrive on-site within 30 minutes of call-out
• Participate in a two-day buddy call orientation during the first week on the unit
• Be prepared to serve on an emergency team or relief team in the event of a declared emergency, as directed by unit management

• Active RN license — Compact or Louisiana license required and must be in hand at time of submittal
• ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required (AHA certifications specifically required)
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in the Operating Room specialty
• Epic EMR experience required
• First-time travelers will not be accepted
• Must live more than 65 miles from the facility (as measured from the address on file with the driver's license to the facility address) — local travelers are not accepted
• NURSYS report must be submitted with profile and must be current (within 4 weeks of submission date)

• Experience in a multi-disciplinary or rural hospital environment
• Familiarity with PACU and endoscopy procedures in addition to OR circulator duties
• Experience managing low-census float assignments across departments

• Gain broad, multi-disciplinary OR experience in a unique rural care setting covering surgery, C-sections, PACU, and endoscopy
• Orientation modules are billable and completed during scheduled orientation hours
