Description
Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Structural Fitters for projects located in the Jennings, LA area
. This is a first shift opportunity, and the pay rate is $27+/hour based on experience and skill level. If you are a Structural Fitter and want to work alongside other proven craftsmen who emphasize safety, productivity, and superior craftsmanship, this is your chance to advance your career!
- Fit structural steel components including beams columns & plate in a fabrication shop environment
- Read & interpret blueprints
- Lay out and measure material accurately
- Fit components to tolerance
- Perform tack welding as needed prior to final weld-out
- Align members
- Prep material
- Check dimensions
- Coordinate with welders to ensure proper joint configuration and structural integrity
- Operate FCAW, GMAW, SMAW, GTAW, and saw welding processes
- Use flame-cutting equipment and metal-forming tools including brakes shears and presses
- 4+ years of experience
