Position Overview
High School Math Teacher 2025‑2026 School Year (Geometry, Algebra I) Multiple Openings. This is an Incentive Eligible Position.

- Plan and deliver a high quality math program that motivates and inspires students to proficiently acquire mathematic concepts.
- Establish clear objectives for all lessons, units and projects and communicate these objectives to students.
- Demonstrate solid knowledge of methods, materials, and techniques used to teach mathematics at the secondary level.
- Develop and present lessons that demonstrate planning and preparation and are consistent with district curriculum and state/national standards.
- Implement curriculum content/objectives that emphasize hands‑on, project‑based learning.
- Embed relevant technological resources.
- Demonstrate appropriate long and short‑term preparation for classroom instruction.
- Hold high expectations for all students and see themselves as facilitators of student learning.
- Organize and use a variety of teaching techniques, strategies, materials, and technology to maximize the learning of each child, individually and in group settings.
- Assess student progress, provide students and parents with specific feedback, and use the results to adjust instruction as needed.
- Provide opportunities for academic support and challenge.
- Take responsibility for teaching the district curriculum as outlined in the curriculum documents.
- Keep abreast of current development in their fields and continue to deepen their understanding of their disciplines.
- Establish and maintain a functional, attractive, orderly, and safe classroom environment that is conducive to student learning and builds a sense of community.
- Assume responsibility for the effective functioning of the school to include necessary noninstructional assignments and student management throughout the entire building.
- Maintain complete records as required by law, district policy and administrative regulation.
- Contribute to school effectiveness by collaborating with other professionals and participating in school and district activities such as staff meetings, parent‑teacher conferences, teacher training workshops and serving on building and district committees.
- Attend meetings and activities outside the normal school day, i.e., professional development activities, parent conferences, open houses and staff meetings.
- Perform other related work as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited educational institution.
- Mathematics Certification required.
