Clinical Nursing Supervisor - Emergency Department

Overview

Clinical Supervisor position focused on planning, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating patient care and operations in designated areas. Serves as a clinical resource for staff and patients, with the ability to assume a staff nurse role when needed. Performs duties in alignment with Mercy’s mission, values, and Service Standards, and may assume managerial duties delegated by a department manager.

Education:

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.

Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years of direct patient care experience required.

Licensure:

• Must hold a current RN license in the hiring state or compact licensure, and meet all state board of nursing requirements.

Certifications:

• Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association (or completion within 30 days of hire).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous supervisory experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing
