SCHEDULE:
- Monday – Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm.
- Subject to change according to business needs.

The Project Engineer directs, coordinates, and provides functional authority over the planning, organization, control, integration, and completion of engineering projects within assigned areas of responsibility. This role may perform duties directly or through subordinate supervisors.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, DUTIES AND PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:- Manage engineering projects from design through build, commissioning, and cost control.
- Review project designs to ensure compliance with engineering principles, company standards, customer requirements, and applicable specifications.
- Utilize early management tools including target criteria, operational readiness, commissioning, and operations/maintenance training.
- Coordinate technical development activities, project scheduling, and the resolution of engineering design or testing issues.
- Monitor and control expenditures within approved project budgets.
- Prepare interim and final project reports.
- Update and maintain plant drawings as required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
- Preferred:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Preferred 3 years’ experience in project management experience.
- Ability to manage projects from $5000 to $30 million.
- Strong teamwork abilities with a history of fostering a positive work environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Effective troubleshooting and problem solving abilities.
- Strong decision making and critical thinking skills.
- High accuracy and attention to detail.
- Highly organized and adaptable to shifting priorities.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Effective prioritization and time management skills.
- Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships across departments.
- Knowledge of dairy science, 3A standards, and sanitary design.
- Familiarity with dairy processing equipment including separators, pasteurizers, membrane systems, evaporators, and dryers.
- Occasional ascending and/or descending of ladders and stairs using feet and legs and/or hands and arms on a regular basis. Body agility is emphasized.
- Walking:
Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances on a regular basis. - Sitting for extended periods of time at a computer.
- Pulling:
Using upper extremities to exert force in order to draw, drag, haul or tug objects in a sustained motion. - Talking:
Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word. Includes activities in which they must convey detailed or important spoken instructions to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly. - Subject to up to at least 92db’s.
