Maintenance Technician / Mechanic
Tech I Maintenance
Perform duties related to preventative, routine, and emergency maintenance of buildings and equipment.
Monitor equipment pressures and flow rates.
Monitor boiler performance, water, and air quality.
Maintain PM logs.
Perform general maintenance on the facility, including welding, sanitary, and structural.
Troubleshoot production equipment.
Keep Management informed of potential issues.
Maintain sanitation log records and timeliness.
Certified to drive the forklift.
Must follow all LOTO, PRCS, and all safety procedures.
Work with external vendors and contractors on facility projects.
2-3 years' previous maintenance experience or equivalent skills in a food processing plant.
Strong mechanical aptitude.
Must have a desire to learn and show initiative.
Ability to pass Forklift License Certification.
High School Degree or Equivalent.
Light Heavy Work
- Lifting 50 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 30 pounds.
Frequently required to stand, walk, use hands, and reach with hands and arms. Occasionally required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Maintenance
- Exposure to a manufacturing environment, including mechanical parts and vibration, requires frequent movement, climbing, and light to moderate physical exertion. Subject to noise, odor, dust, and discharge from the production process.
Take personal responsibility to engage in plant and food safety practices to prevent hazards that cause foodborne illness or injury and provide a clean, safe work environment and quality products.
Perform special projects and other responsibilities as needed.
