Job Summary:The Delivery Driver:
Class A CDL is responsible for local delivery and merchandising activities within an assigned territory, ensuring products are delivered safely, accurately, and professionally.
The work schedule consists of 4, 10-hour shifts.
Key Responsibilities:- Complete a pre-trip inspection of the assigned vehicle and equipment.
- Drive a designated route, delivering products safely, efficiently, and professionally while complying with all DOT regulations and traffic laws.
- Unload products from trailers using a pallet jack and/or hand truck.
- Verify deliveries with store personnel and check in all products upon arrival.
- Ensure order accuracy by confirming quantities and obtaining customer signatures.
- Stock cooler space, shelf space, and promotional displays during each delivery.
- Rotate products according to company freshness and merchandising standards.
- Retrieve empty keg shells, damaged merchandise, and incorrectly ordered products for return credit.
- Collect invoices and complete all required route documentation on a daily basis.
- Maintain effective communication with sales representatives and retail account personnel.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- Previous delivery driving experience is preferred.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and no major traffic violations.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Class A CDL and valid medical card.
- Ability to safely maneuver a fully loaded hand truck.
- Ability to operate standard handheld computer and route management devices.
- Must be able to regularly lift and move beverage cases weighing 20-30 lbs. and lift up to 160 lbs. to waist level. Duties require frequent bending, squatting, reaching, and standing for extended periods.
- Work independently while servicing multiple retail accounts throughout the day.
- Safely operate delivery vehicles in a variety of weather and road conditions.
