They are currently looking to add a Staff Accountant to join their team.
Salary/Hourly Rate:$25/hr - $27/hr
Position Overview:The Staff Accountant role is for a temporary assignment lasting approximately 3 - 4 months. This position will provide additional support to the Accounting team and will primarily focus on account reconciliations and finished goods inventory across 19 bailment locations. The ideal candidate will be sharp, proactive, highly organized, and comfortable working with large spreadsheets and detailed financial information.
Responsibilities of the Staff Accountant:- Perform account and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Assist with reconciliations related to finished goods inventory across 19 bailment locations.
- Review financial data and identify discrepancies or inconsistencies.
- Research and resolve reconciliation issues in a timely manner.
- Maintain accurate and organized accounting records.
- Prepare and analyze spreadsheets to support accounting activities.
- Utilize Excel to organize, analyze, and reconcile large amounts of data.
- Assist with accounting projects and other duties as needed.
- Work collaboratively with the Accounting team to meet deadlines and maintain accurate financial records.
- Junior to Staff-level accounting experience.
- Experience with balance sheet reconciliations.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables.
- Experience working with large spreadsheets and financial data.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Sharp, proactive, and able to work independently.
- Ability to identify discrepancies and proactively resolve issues.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working with an ERP system such as SAP.
- Experience with inventory reconciliations.
- Experience working with inventory, finished goods, or multi-location accounting.
- Previous experience in a fast-paced accounting environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
