- Provide in‑person tax preparation and filing services for individuals and small businesses using Intuit tools
- Review financial documents, identify deductions and credits, and ensure compliance with current tax laws
- Advise clients on tax strategies, planning opportunities, and potential impacts of life events
- Verify accuracy of returns, resolve discrepancies, and respond to basic IRS or state tax notices
- Maintain detailed, secure client records in Intuit systems while protecting sensitive data
- Collaborate with in‑store and remote Intuit teams to improve client experiences and share best practices
- Educate clients on Intuit products such as Turbo
- Tax and related financial solutions
- Stay current on federal and state tax regulations through ongoing training and certification renewals
- Individual income tax preparation (Form 1040 and schedules)
- Small business and self‑employed tax preparation
- Knowledge of federal and state tax codes and regulations
- Proficiency with tax preparation software (preferably Intuit/Turbo
- Tax Pro
- Series/Lacerte)
- Financial document analysis (W-2s, 1099s, K-1s, receipts)
- Data entry accuracy and electronic filing (e-file) processes
- Client interviewing and needs assessment
- Tax research using IRS publications and authoritative sources
- Documentation and record‑keeping in secure systems
- Basic advisory skills in tax planning and deductions
