Camp Dates: 6/22/2026 (Mon) – 8/28/2026 (Fri) (plus one weekend for set‑up, one weekend for breakdown, and an orientation day)
Camp
Hours:
8:00 am – 6:00 pm (actual shifts will vary)
Hourly Wage: $19.25 – $21.75 per hour (pay range dependent on experience and other factors)

Responsibilities- Facilitate a variety of activities such as sewing, stop‑motion animation, maker space, performing arts, arts & crafts, lounging, and recreation.
- Receive orientation and continually work with your Director to define specific roles and responsibilities.
- Supervise campers in designated activity spaces or rotating support roles.
- Maintain an organized and approachable activity space.
- Ensure compliance with camp policies and safety procedures.
- Report and record incidents, injuries, concerns, and camper allergies/dietary restrictions.
- Add daily updates and photos to campers’ profiles.
- Assist with camp set‑up and breakdown during move‑in and move‑out weekends.
- Actively supervise and support campers in all settings.
- Maintain cleanliness and accessibility of activity areas.
- Help ensure that all children are safe and healthy.
- Participate in athletic games and other physical activities as needed.
- At least 18 years old with a High School Diploma or GED (Bachelor’s Degree preferred).
- Minimum 2 months of camp experience, or 1 year in an education or child‑care setting.
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to communicate with children, parents, and staff.
- Multitask under pressure while remaining calm and compassionate.
- Stamina to keep up with energetic children (4–12 years) and lift up to 30 lb.
- Passion for sharing knowledge, learning from all ages, and thriving in a self‑directed environment.
- Must consent to email/text communication and be able to chaperone for off‑site field trips.
- Past management or leadership experience preferred.
- On‑site management demands physical activity; standing for long periods and occasional exertion.
- Preferred:
- Meets local Camp Director qualifications.
- Previous Steve & Kate's Camp employee.
- Follow all safety and health rules of the location.
- Organize and maintain clean activity spaces.
- Assist with camp set‑up and breakdown.
- Stand for long periods while supervising children.
- Participate in athletic games.
- Eligible for sick time where local regulations require.
