We are a growing general contractor specialising in commercial construction projects across New Jersey and the surrounding region
. Due to continued expansion, we are seeking an Assistant Estimator to join our preconstruction team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop a long-term career in estimating and gain hands‑on exposure to a wide range of commercial projects.
You will work closely with experienced estimators and project teams, supporting the full bidding and preconstruction process.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with quantity take-offs and cost estimating
- Review drawings, plans, and project specifications
- Request, collect, and compare subcontractor and supplier pricing
- Support preparation of budgets, bid packages, and proposals
- Maintain estimating logs, databases, and documentation
- Assist the preconstruction team throughout the bidding cycle
- Help ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of estimates
- 1–3 years experience in estimating, project engineering, or construction
- Commercial construction experience preferred
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
- Competitive base salary: $60,000 – $90,000 (based on experience)
