Project Engineer, Civil Engineering

Metric Geo has partnered with a leading contractor in New Jersey that are looking for a Project Engineer to hit the ground running within Heavy Civil Construction. This is an exceptional opportunity to grow your career and progress within the company!

The Project Engineer supports the Project Manager with guidance and engineering support during construction and administration of complex projects, maintaining the highest professional standards when interacting with owners' representatives, suppliers, subcontractors, and engineers.

• Support the Project Manager through project completion.
• Ensure quality control and compliance with plans and specifications.
• Maintain schedules and budgets and review project costs.
• Review and execute material purchase orders.
• Coordinate material delivery and scheduling of equipment, operators, and subcontractors.
• Set up field office, yard, and storage as required.
• Generate work schedules and coordinate required work force.
• Visit job sites as necessary.
• Schedule and attend project and operations meetings.
• Work with union halls to conform to company EEO standards.
• Other duties as assigned.

• B.S. in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• 3 years of civil construction experience, a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Detail oriented.
• Knowledge of heavy construction and bridge work preferred.
