Construction Manager

A growing private real estate investment firm is seeking a hands‑on Construction Manager to oversee major multifamily renovation and adaptive‑reuse projects throughout New Jersey.

This individual will serve as the owner’s representative, becoming involved during preconstruction and remaining responsible through project completion. The role requires someone who can manage general contractors, solve problems in the field and independently move complex renovation projects forward.

• Oversee projects from preconstruction through completion
• Review plans, scopes, budgets and construction schedules
• Support bidding, contractor selection and vendor qualification
• Manage general contractors, consultants and project vendors
• Monitor budgets, schedules, quality and overall execution
• Identify project risks and resolve issues as they arise
• Coordinate with internal investment, development and construction teams
• Build relationships with local contractors, vendors and jurisdictions
• Conduct regular site visits throughout New Jersey
• Report on project progress, risks and key decisions

• Approximately 5–15+ years of construction or project management experience
• Strong technical understanding of construction
• Experience with renovation, repositioning or adaptive‑reuse projects
• Multifamily, residential or hospitality experience preferred
• Experience with a developer, owner’s representative or general contractor
• Ability to manage contractors, vendors, budgets and schedules
• Entrepreneurial and comfortable working independently
• Construction Management degree, OSHA 30 or PMP certification is a plus

Candidates should be based in New Jersey or the Philadelphia metro area. The position requires approximately 50% travel, with an expectation of spending two to three days per week at project sites.
