Role
Summary:
As a part-time, adjunct faculty member, teach 3-credit accounting courses at both the undergraduate and graduate level.
Primary Duties:
1. Design and deliver high-quality undergraduate and graduate-level Accounting courses, focusing on the instructor's area of expertise and the needs of the Accounting and Legal Studies Department.
2. Develop engaging and effective teaching materials, including syllabi, course outlines, and assignments that meet the learning outcomes of each course and reflect the University's emphasis on Jesuit values.
3. Maintain scholarly activity, including research, publications and conference presentations in the field of Accounting.
4. Demonstrate relevant and current subject-matter expertise, and help students connect concepts across their academic program.
5. Perform other duties as assigned.
Must be able to teach in-person courses as well as remote courses.

QualificationsMinimum Qualifications:
1. Must have a MAcc, MBA, MS or PhD in Accounting. PhD preferred.
2. Must have an active CPA license. 3. 3-5 years of teaching experience in Accounting at the graduate and/or undergraduate level in a university setting preferred.
4. Industry experience, preferably in a leadership or managerial role.
5. Knowledge of Microsoft Office, and database applications;
Blackboard and Ellucian Colleague systems.
6. Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others; to present information clearly and concisely; and excellent verbal and written communication skills also required.

4. Ability to interact and communicate effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds and at all levels of the organization. Strong written and communication skills, along with the ability to build relationships with various members of the organization.
5. Ability to provide high-quality, strong customer-oriented services, including problem-solving orientation; strong listening skills; expertise in advising and consulting; history of coordinated work effort with extensive follow-through and follow-up; experience identifying customer needs; conflict resolution; ability to put customers before self; and creation of user-friendly communications.
