Job Summary:
The History Department at Saint Peter's University invites applications for an adjunct faculty position to teach undergraduate courses in either premodern history or modern world history.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Teach one or more sections of premodern history (e.g., ancient, medieval, or early modern) or modern world history courses per term
- Develop syllabi, deliver lectures/discussions, and assess student learning in accordance with departmental standards
- Be available to support student learning through virtual meetings or office hours
- Maintain accurate records of attendance and grades
Qualification Standards:
- Master's degree (required) or Ph.D. (preferred) in History or a closely related discipline
- Demonstrated content expertise in premodern history, modern world history, or both
- Prior teaching experience at the college/university level preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
