Professional Security Studies Adjunct Faculty

Position:
Adjunct Faculty in Professional Security Studies within the College of Business and Public Management.

• Teach courses related to Professional Security Studies, including Cybersecurity, National Security, Forensic Studies, Military Science, Security Leadership, and related areas.
• Provide at least one hour of availability outside the classroom per week for each credit hour taught (additional 30 minutes for each additional class). Availability may be in person or virtual.
• Maintain office hours as per credit load, with additional discretionary hours permitted.
• Use the Learning Management System effectively for course delivery.
• Submit official transcripts before appointment.

• Master’s degree in a related field; holders of an Ed.D., Ph.D., or other acceptable disciplinary doctorate encouraged.
• Teaching experience, unless otherwise indicated.
• Proficiency in a Learning Management System.

• Effective September 2025: $2,100 per credit.
• Effective September 2026: $2,225 per credit.
• Beginning with the 13th semester taught, an additional $75 per credit is awarded.
• Enrollment in a state‑administered retirement plan.
• Eligibility to enroll in the Part‑Time State Health Benefits Program for medical and prescription drug coverage.

Availability for teaching may be in person at the Jersey City campus or online.
