Position
Adjunct Faculty, Criminal Justice and/or Homeland Security
Hudson County Community College, School of Humanities and Social Sciences, Jersey City, NJ.
Starting Rate for New Adjunct Faculty: $956.00 per credit.

- For adjunct faculties currently employed for nine (fall/spring) semesters or more: 100% tuition waiver for any credit course, and selected continuing education courses. For those employed for four to eight semesters: 50% tuition reduction.
- Teach introductory and advanced Criminal Justice and/or Homeland Security courses.
- Teach in-person, online, and remote course formats.
- Scheduling availability for morning, afternoon, and evening classes at Jersey City and Union City campuses.
Required Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Criminal Justice, Criminology, Homeland Security, Juris Doctor (J.D.), or a closely related field.
Preferred
Qualifications and Skills:
- Two years of teaching experience.
- Online teaching experience.
- Demonstrated use of both traditional and non-traditional teaching methods.
- Strong understanding of educational technology and current trends in Criminal Justice, Homeland Security, and Public Safety.
- Ability to effectively engage and connect with a diverse population of learners.
- Commitment to developing students’ critical thinking, communication, and oral presentation skills.
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
- Highly motivated, student-centered, flexible, and people-oriented.
- Proven ability to create an engaging and inclusive learning environment that promotes student success.
