Inclusion Teacher

Dr. Michael Conti School – PS #5, located in Downtown Jersey City
, is seeking a dedicated and collaborative Inclusion Teacher to join our school community.

As part of Jersey City Public Schools, PS #5 serves a diverse student population in a supportive, inclusive, and student-centered learning environment. We are looking for an educator who is passionate about ensuring that all students have access to high-quality instruction and the supports they need to succeed.

The Inclusion Teacher will work collaboratively with general education teachers, related service providers, families, and school staff to:

• Provide differentiated instruction for students with diverse learning needs
• Implement IEP accommodations and modifications
• Monitor student progress and use data to guide instruction
• Support positive classroom environments and student behavior
• Participate in IEP meetings and parent conferences
• Promote an inclusive, culturally responsive learning environment

Qualifications include:

• Valid New Jersey teaching certification with the appropriate special education endorsement, or eligibility in process
• Knowledge of IEP implementation, accommodations, modifications, and inclusive practices
• Strong collaboration, communication, and classroom management skills
• Commitment to equity, student achievement, and culturally responsive teaching
