Overview
Under the supervision of a Supervising Planner the Division of Engineering & Transportation is seeking an entry-level Transportation Planner to assist in the development of specialized transportation studies.
Responsibilities- Collect transportation and demographic data to perform technical analyses.
- Coordinate planning with other County departments, local governments, and regional agencies.
- Participate in public outreach for transportation-related projects
- Perform field work/site visits to support various planning initiatives.
One (1) year of professional experience in municipal, county, regional, or state planning. Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree including or supplemented by 21 semester hour credits in professional planning subjects such as the principles of land use planning, history of city planning, planning project design, and planning law and administration.
NOTE:
Possession of a Master’s degree in Planning-Transportation from an accredited college or university may be substituted for one (1) year of indicated experience. A strong knowledge of ArcGIS is preferred.
Possession of a Driver’s License valid in New Jersey.
