Building Controls Technician III - Wonderware​/Aveva

Mantis Innovation provides managed facility services and turnkey program management with technology-enabled solutions that target the entire building footprint. We look at the entire facility—inside and out—and can impact 70% of what a building operator allocates critical budget dollars toward, including:
Strategic electricity and natural gas procurement, renewable energy, and demand response; climate impact reduction and reporting, net zero strategies, and sustainability planning; roofing, solar, HVAC assessment management, pavement, building envelope, data center optimization, and EV charging; lighting/LED retrofits, HVAC/mechanical systems, and BMS/BAS improvements and implementation.

This is a senior‑level Controls Technician role focused on delivering mission‑critical BMS service projects across Central and Northern New Jersey. Unlike Tech II, Tech III candidates must operate independently at a high level: leading troubleshooting, programming, commissioning, and integration tasks in live data center environments. This role directly supports a key client with high uptime and compliance requirements.

• 5-12+ years hands‑on experience in BMS, SCADA, PLCs, or HVAC controls (senior‑level only).
• Independent troubleshooting and commissioning in live data centers (client‑facing).
• Strong proficiency in Wonderware/Aveva
• Strong HVAC grounding (control sequences, integration)
• Ability to interpret and apply mechanical drawings and control schematics
• Willingness to be at the client site 5 days a week; M–F

• You only have InTouch HMI or MES experience (without System Platform/Historian/Dev Studio).
• You have no SCADA/PLC exposure.
• You are unwilling to travel daily across NJ.
• You have weak communication skills or lack of independent project ownership.

$110,000 - $130,000 a year
