Tax Director

A Leading Consumer Products located in Bergen County, NJ is searching for a Tax Director who will have the following responsibilities:

• Lead the planning, management, and execution of the company’s overall tax strategy in partnership with the VP of Tax.
• Prepare, review, and ensure timely filing of all federal, state, and local tax returns.
• Manage the preparation and/or review of annual tax provision calculations and related documentation.
• Monitor and respond to tax notices and correspondence from federal, state, and local jurisdictions.
• Coordinate and support all federal and state tax audits, including compiling documentation and responding to inquiries.
• Maintain and regularly update the corporate tax calendar to ensure all filing and compliance deadlines are met.
• Identify opportunities to streamline and improve tax processes and controls.
• Serve as the primary liaison between the Tax department and executive leadership, outside consultants, and relevant government agencies.
• Oversee and communicate progress on current and future tax-related projects and initiatives to senior management.

Qualified candidates for the Accounting Consultant role should possess:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. CPA a plus.
• 12+ years of experience

The total compensation range for this opportunity is $180,000 to $200,000 plus bonus.
