Location: Central New Jersey (5 days in office)

Salary Range: 170k - 190k

Our client, is a privately owned company specializing in commercial real estate. Their team is dedicated to providing exceptional service and innovative solutions to clients. They are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Controller to join their growing and dynamic team.

The Controller will play a crucial role in managing the financial operations for the organization's clients. Heavy interaction and client interfacing. This position involves staff members and reporting directly to the CFO. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial real estate finance and a proven track record of multiple entities financial management.

• Oversee and manage the daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
• Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and control.
• Manage the budgeting and forecasting process, providing insights and recommendations to the CFO.
• Conduct financial analysis and present findings to senior management.
• Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting to internal and external stakeholders.
• Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or CMA certification preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
• Experience in commercial real estate finance required.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization.

• Personal Time Off (PTO) is offered on an accrual basis up to 184 hours a year, 13 Paid Holidays, and up to 6 weeks of Paid Parental Leave. PTO and holiday hours are prorated based on hire date within the calendar year.
