A global banking institution is seeking a senior finance leader to join its Markets Product Control team supporting complex fixed income and derivatives trading activities. This role partners directly with trading and risk leadership to oversee daily P&L integrity, valuation governance, and regulatory reporting across interest rate derivatives and valuation adjustment (xVA) portfolios.
This is a high-impact position focused on strengthening the control environment across the full trade lifecycle while contributing to automation and finance transformation initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Lead daily P&L validation, attribution, and reporting across rates derivatives and valuation adjustment portfolios
- Oversee and enhance independent price verification and valuation control frameworks
- Partner with front office, risk, and accounting teams to review complex trades, reserves, and ad hoc valuation matters
- Strengthen spreadsheet governance (EUC controls) and drive automation of reporting processes
- Support regulatory reporting requirements, including Volcker-related reporting
- Document policies, procedures, and control standards across the product control function
- Contribute to finance transformation and infrastructure modernization efforts
- Mentor junior team members and promote best-in-class control practices
Qualifications
- 8–12+ years of experience in Product Control, Markets Finance, Capital Markets Audit, or Valuations Advisory
- Direct experience covering derivatives and fixed income products (rates and/or xVA strongly preferred)
- Exposure to regulatory reporting requirements, including Volcker
- Strong understanding of trade lifecycle controls and valuation governance within capital markets
- Knowledge of derivatives accounting under US GAAP
- Advanced Excel skills and experience managing controlled spreadsheet environments
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA, CFA, or FRM preferred
- Proven ability to operate in a fast-paced, front-office-aligned environment
