Executive Director Head Of Project Finance Account Bank

Lead a global team delivering innovative account bank solutions for some of the world's most complex project finance, infrastructure, and energy transactions while shaping the future growth of the franchise.

As the Executive Director Head of Project Finance Account Bank in Liquidity & Account Solutions, you will lead and continue to build a specialized global team responsible for delivering account bank solutions supporting complex project finance, infrastructure, energy, and structured finance transactions. You will be responsible for driving business growth, leading strategic client engagement, developing talent, and partnering across Product, Sales, Legal, and Operations to advance the Project Finance Account Bank franchise.

Job responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a high-performing team of Project Finance Account Bank professionals, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and client focus.
  • Own the strategic direction, growth, and commercialization of the Project Finance Account Bank business across the Americas.
  • Serve as the senior escalation point and trusted advisor for clients, sponsors, lenders, and internal stakeholders on complex project finance transactions.
  • Partner closely with Sales, Banking, Product, Legal, Risk, and Operations teams to drive business development initiatives and execute strategic growth objectives.
  • Support new business origination efforts through client meetings, deal pitches, industry events, and relationship management activities.
  • Oversee the review and negotiation of account bank, depositary, escrow, and related project finance documentation, ensuring risks are appropriately managed and firm standards are upheld.
  • Ensure successful onboarding and implementation of complex transaction structures while maintaining a best-in-class client experience.
  • Drive innovation and continuous enhancement of the product offering through market insights, client feedback, and industry trends.
  • Champion operational excellence, risk management, regulatory compliance, and control execution across the portfolio.
  • Identify opportunities to deepen client relationships and expand wallet share through broader Treasury Services and Liquidity & Account Solutions capabilities.
  • Act as a subject matter expert and thought leader within the Project Finance, Infrastructure, and Energy sectors.

Required qualifications, skills and capabilities

  • 10+ years of experience;
    Bachelor's degree.
  • Significant experience in project finance, infrastructure finance, account bank, corporate trust, escrow, agency, or related financial services businesses.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience, including managing and developing teams in a complex, matrixed organization.
  • Extensive experience reviewing and negotiating project finance transaction documents and understanding sophisticated deal structures and cash flow mechanics.
  • Proven ability to originate business, manage senior client relationships, and influence strategic outcomes.
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience supporting revenue growth and franchise development.
  • Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and executive presentation skills.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and drive results across multiple products and business partners.
  • Strong risk, control, compliance, and regulatory awareness.
  • Proven track record of exercising sound judgment and making independent decisions in complex environments.

Preferred qualifications, skills and capabilities

  • Complex and advanced deal negotiation expertise.
  • Treasury Services, Cash Management, or Liquidity Solutions experience.
  • Experience supporting energy, infrastructure, renewables, or structured finance clients.
  • Prior sales, business development, or relationship management experience.
  • Spanish language proficiency.
