Associate, Corporate Actions

BMO Financial is seeking an Associate, Corporate Actions to support timely and accurate processing of corporate actions across client portfolios. In this role, you will review and interpret notices, process mandatory and voluntary events, reconcile positions and cash, and ensure proper allocation to client accounts. You will investigate breaks, reduce risk through strong controls, and collaborate with front office, operations, and custodians.

Responsibilities

• Process mandatory and voluntary corporate actions accurately and on time
• Interpret and validate corporate action notifications from custodians and depositories
• Reconcile positions, cash, and entitlements; research and resolve breaks
• Ensure proper allocation of proceeds and options to client accounts
• Maintain strong operational controls and support risk mitigation efforts
• Collaborate with front office, custodians, and internal operations teams
• Monitor deadlines and key dates to prevent missed events or losses
• Escalate exceptions, potential risks, and client-impacting issues promptly
• Document procedures, contribute to process improvements, and support automation
• Support regulatory, compliance, and audit requirements related to asset servicing
