AVP – FDC Operations – In Business Risk and Control OfficerCiti is seeking an AVP candidate to support our Futures and Derivatives Clearing (FDC) and FX Prime Brokerage Operations business. The candidate will support the Global In-Business Risk and Control (I ) Manager in maintaining a strong control environment and risk-aware culture within FDC Operations. The role focuses on assisting with risk identification, control monitoring, issue management, and governance activities to ensure processes operate in line with firm policies, standards, and regulatory expectations.
Responsibilities:Risk & Control Support
- Assistinidentifyinginherent and compliance risks within operational processes.
- Lead process walkthroughs to understand end‑to‑end workflows, risks, and key controls.
- Help assess control design and operating effectiveness in line with firmwide control standards.
- Support the identification, documentation, and tracking of operational control failures and risk events.
- Assist Operations teams in performing root cause analysis
- Maintain issue tracker andmonitorremediation actions to supporttimelyresolution.
- Comfortable escalating to various stakeholders, including Senior Managers
- Assist in preparing routine risk and control reporting for operations management.
- Support analysis of trends related to issues, risk events, and control performance.
- Support Operations management in preparing for internal audits and regulatory reviews.
- Assistin responding to Audit or Compliance information requests by coordinating with Ops teams.
- Provide awareness of procedural changes within the operations team.
- Partner with Operations, Embedded Risk Officers, Risk, Compliance, and other control functions to support day‑to‑day risk activities.
- Participate in team initiatives focused on strengthening process governance and control resilience.
- Support ad hoc projects related to risk, controls, governance, or process improvement.
- Foundational understanding of operational risk and internal controls, or strong interest in developingexpertisein this area.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow structured processes and standards
- Analytical mindset with the ability toidentifyinconsistencies, gaps, or potential risks.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a time‑sensitive, high‑volume environment.
- Collaborative approach with a willingness to learn from senior team members.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Business, Finance, Risk Management, Operations, ora related field.
