• A passion to serve and help others live their best lives possible.
• High school diploma or G.E.D. certificate.
• Access to reliable transportation.
• Minimum of six (6) months work experience in a supervised setting, preferably health care facility.
• Demonstrated ability to read, write, and follow a written Plan of Care/Aide Care Plan.
• Good verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
• Previous experience as an at‑home caregiver or in senior communities.
• Proficient in speaking both English and Spanish.
• Males encouraged to apply.
• New Jersey Home Health Aide Certification required.

• Assist with daily activities to help clients stay independent and in their own homes.
• Provide assistance with personal care activities including but not limited to: bathing, shaving, skin/nail care, shampooing, oral hygiene, dressing, range of motion exercises, and assistance in ambulation exercises.
• Assist with mobility, transfers and range of motion exercises.
• Handle meal planning, preparation and feeding.
• Properly manage household needs.
• Provide companionship and respite services for the family.
• Assist in the administration of medications that are ordinarily self‑administered under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse.
• Reports any observed or reported changes in the client’s condition and/or needs to the Registered Nurse. Follows reporting guidelines in the Plan of Care/Aide Care Plan.
• Documents care provided and completes the forms required for the client’s records. Completes the appropriate records to document care given and pertinent observations.
• Promotes personal safety and a safe environment for clients by observing infection control practices, following Agency guidelines, and reporting unsafe situations to the supervisor.
• Demonstrates safe practice in the use of equipment.
• Communicates effectively with family and all members of the interdisciplinary team.
• Maintains confidentiality in all aspects of the job.
