Position: Speech Language Pathologist (SLP)  - Jersey City, NJ

A contract opportunity is available for a skilled Speech‑Language Pathologist to provide critical support within an elementary school setting located in Jersey City, NJ. This role involves delivering specialized services primarily focused on students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ensuring they receive individualized attention and therapeutic interventions to enhance their communication abilities.

Responsibilities
  • Providing speech-language therapy services to a caseload of 19 elementary students, primarily with ASD.
  • Conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and implementing therapy strategies tailored to the unique needs of each student.
  • Collaborating with educators, parents, and other professionals to integrate communication goals into the classroom environment.
  • Maintaining detailed documentation of student progress and therapy sessions.
  • Utilizing teletherapy techniques when appropriate to support student needs.
Work Schedule
  • Part-time, 2 days per week.
  • Hours:

    8:00 AM to 3:00 PM on Thursdays and Fridays.
Qualifications And Experience
  • Certified Speech‑Language Pathologist (SLP) with Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred.
  • Experience working in school settings, especially with elementary‑aged children.
  • Familiarity with ASD and related speech‑language challenges.
  • Experience or comfort with teletherapy methodologies.
  • Candidates with Speech‑Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) experience in schools or healthcare settings are also encouraged to apply.
  • Completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) is advantageous.
