DevOps Engineer

Our client in Northern NJ is seeking a Dev Ops Engineer on a shorter term contract to hire. This position is hybrid onsite 3 days per week in the office in Northern NJ. Local candidates only/No Relocation

This role is not eligible for employer-sponsored work authorization (e.g., H-1B, OPT, CPT, etc.) or transfer. Candidates must have valid U.S. work authorization

• Build, maintain, and secure production infrastructure and services.
• Automate infrastructure build-outs and deployments (Ansible, Packer, Terraform, Chef, Puppet, or similar).
• Troubleshoot production issues and maintain documentation, processes, and tools.
• Evaluate and implement new software, hardware, and infrastructure solutions.
• Work within AWS environments leveraging EKS, Helm, Kubernetes, Docker, and related technologies.
• Collaborate with development teams on scalable, high-performance microservices architectures.

• 3+ years of AWS experience (required).
• 2+ years of EKS and Helm experience (mandatory).
• Experience with distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, and container orchestration.
• Experience with CI/CD, monitoring, and alerting tools.
• Familiarity with web technologies, LAMP stack, .NET applications, and high-availability systems.
• Solid understanding of networking, load balancing, and big data systems.
• Experience with microservices and cloud-native infrastructure.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience operating and leading complex systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in fast-paced environments.
