How you create impact

As the National IT Implementation Manager you will be responsible for implementing warehouse management systems and processes within Kuehne+Nagel distribution centers. You will interact with Operations, Contract Logistics and Global IT teams supporting the definition and delivery of business solutions for new or existing clients based on defined business processes and functional requirements. You will work remotely.

  • Oversee Contract Logistics IT team members based on individual roles and job responsibilities including project management related to both external implementations and internal strategic/change-based initiatives.

  • Ensure that appropriate tools/processes are leveraged and effective communication and support is provided throughout the process.

  • Train and mentor team associates on solutions and best practice in support of implementations and continuous improvement.

  • Assist with analysis of customer or operational requirements and solution design.

  • Provide subject matter expertise in development of system requirements and Logistics and Information Systems Concept documents.

  • Participate in integration meetings with prospects/clients to determine system requirements and specifications relative to integration mapping and product configuration.

  • Translate client/business requirements into functional/system requirements, technical specifications and logical data mappings for integration.

  • Partner with CL ops/engineering to translate Logistics Concept into IS Concept and solution configuration.

  • Document applicable Functional Requirement Specification as necessary for enhancements to core products to meet scope of proposed solution.

  • Configure KN applications based on solution design and Concept of Operations.

  • Assist in the development of test plans, data and cycles to ensure that all requirements identified in the requirements gathering phase will be validated.

What we would like you to bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Management, or equivalent practical experience in a Contract Logistics IT environment.

  • Must have a minimum of 5 years of technical experience working with supply chain technologies, including:

  • Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)

  • Transportation Management Systems (TMS)

  • Order Management Systems (OMS)

  • Enterprise Application Integration tools

  • BY WMS (Blue Yonder) and/or Manhattan WMOS experience is required.

  • Must have a minimum of 5 years of Operations experience in warehousing and/or transportation services.

  • Must have the ability to travel 40%, with increased travel expected during realization/implementation phases.

  • Must have the proven ability to define customer requirements and identify operational efficiencies.

  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and facilitation skills with the ability to work cross-functionally and influence stakeholders.
