QA Data Engineer

Genesis
10 is currently seeking a QA Data Engineer - Hybrid position (3 days onsite) located in Jersey City, NJ. This is a 6+ month contract opportunity.

This role involves designing and developing a comprehensive QA framework and data pipeline on a Data Lakehouse platform for a Major Financial Institution. The successful candidate will focus on centralizing security data, testing ETL process accuracy through the medallion architecture, and ensuring data quality within a robust SDLC process.

• Design and develop a QA framework and pipeline for a Data Lakehouse
• Develop QA ETL pipelines, ensure data quality, and optimize data storage solutions
• Analyze and develop the ingestion pipeline to test data feeds through raw, transformation, and target processes
• Function as a technical liaison between IT and data engineering teams
• Create mechanisms to generate tickets for bug remediation
• Adhere to internal SDLC agile processes and provide routine updates to the sprint schedule

• Proven experience as a Data Engineer with a focus on Quality Assurance
• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL
• Experience with cloud data tools (e.g., AWS Glue, Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Bricks)
• Experience working with QA analysts to test code and data as part of an SDLC process
• Ability to design and build flexible, adaptable, and scalable QA processes

Pay range: $83.12 - $87.12 per Hour
