GCP Data Engineer

Infosys is seeking a GCP data engineer. In this role, you will enable digital transformation for our clients in a global delivery model, research on technologies independently, recommend appropriate solutions and contribute to technology‑specific best practices and standards. You will be responsible to interface with key stakeholders and apply your technical proficiency across different stages of the Software Development Life Cycle.

• Candidate must be located within commuting distance to Jersey City, NJ or be willing to relocate; travel within the US may be required.
• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent from an accredited institution. Three years of progressive experience in the specialty may be considered in lieu of one year of education.

• At least 4 years of Information Technology experience.
• Experience working with GCP data‑engineering technologies such as Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Dataproc, Big Query.
• ETL development experience with strong SQL background and Python.
• Strong knowledge of Python program development to build reusable frameworks and enhance existing frameworks.
• Experience building applications with core GCP services such as Dataproc, GKE, Composer.

• Good knowledge of Google Big Query and advanced SQL programming techniques for building Big Query datasets in ingestion and transformation layer.
• Experience in relational, dimensional, and unstructured data modeling.
• Good understanding of Agile software development frameworks.
• Ability to work in teams in a diverse, multi‑stakeholder environment comprising business and technology teams.
• Experience and desire to work in a global delivery environment.
