Workday Delivery Lead

Hybrid – 3 days in 2 days remote.

Location:

Hopewell, NJ. Contract length: 12‑18 months. Candidates must be on site 3 days per week and work W2 status only.

The Delivery Lead will support the Workday application by managing and coordinating project activities, including semi‑annual Feature Releases and downstream initiatives. The Lead partners with business stakeholders to understand use cases, optimize processes, and improve reporting. The role ensures all changes adhere to Enterprise Change Management standards, serves as a Workday subject‑matter expert, and collaborates with architects and developers on solutions and testing.

• Plan and coordinate delivery and dependencies across multiple teams.
• Facilitate dependency, risk, and impediment management for defined deliverables.
• Promote communication and collaboration across organizations to support delivery and timeline.
• Gather and facilitate status updates for stakeholders on delivery, risks/issues, and schedule.
• Ensure execution aligns with deliverable requirements by working with stakeholders.
• Support resource planning for delivery/execution with the Lead Developer.
• Business relationship management, liaison to Global Human Resources and Shared Service Providers.
• Ensure deliverables comply with Enterprise Application Management Policies and Procedures.
• Provide leadership focused on strategic delivery and execution.
• Manage and provide application portfolio oversight working closely with application and vendor managers.
• Provide risk oversight for business and technology risk.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 3+ years Workday HCM experience.
• Workday Pro or Workday Certifications strongly preferred.
• Solid understanding of at least three Workday modules, including Core HCM, Compensation, Talent, Payroll, Time, Absence, and Benefits.
• Workday Integrations experience preferred.
• Knowledge of Workday business process, core setup, and security framework.
• Deep understanding of Workday data model, corporate system architecture, interfaces, reporting, and data loading procedures.
• Attention to detail and relentless commitment to follow‑through.
• Ability to convey ideas and recommendations to a wide variety of audiences at all levels in written and verbal communication.
• Strong expertise in cloud‑based multi‑tenant systems.
• Strong ability to work with others on solutions.

Expert Level

Contract position based out of Hopewell, NJ.

The pay range for this position is $60.00 – $96.00/hr.
